February 29, 2012 - Gateway to the Microscopic World Oakland Schools, Waterford MI 8:30-11:30am
Join us for a half day workshop to familiarize yourself with an outstanding high tech tool--the handheld digital microscope. Teachers that attend this workshop will be able to check out our classroom set for student use. Curriculum lessons are aligned to state standards and benchmarks. Join us to brainstorm additional uses for this great device! $20/person.
March 24, 2012 - Underwater Innovative Vehicle Design at Spring Lake Aquatic Center in Spring Lake MI 8am-5pm
20 teams from around the state will take the plunge and see what lies beneath the surface via student-built underwater remotely operated vehicles.

August 18 Full Scale Innovative Vehicle Design Workshop, Ferndale MI
Join us for a one day training in which you will learn how to incorporate the design and build of a full scale, single driver vehicle with an innovative component in your classroom or after school program. The IVD project comes with a $5,000 grant for new teams as well as the base kit vehicle. Space is limited, register now!
August 22 & 23 (Oak Park) and August 25 & 26 (Portage) Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles in the Classroom
K-12 educators with an interest in hands-on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines are invited to attend this exciting 2-day workshop that provides a truly unique educational opportunity. Participants will receive an instruction manual, materials and support to design, engineer and build a fully functional underwater remotely operated vehicle or ROV. STEM lessons, skills and activities presented in this workshop support standards and benchmarks in science, math and technology. $150/three person team
August 23 Mini Innovative Vehicle Design Workshop, Oak Park MI
Join us for a one day training on incorporating high performance RC Hobby vehicles in your classroom or after school program. This is a gas to electric conversion project with research and data collection components and comes with the vehicle and a $2,000 grant to make the conversion with your students in preparation for them to perform at our May 2012 competition day at Michigan International Speedway. August 25 & 26 Science of Cell Phones and Wireless Communication Teacher Workshop, Portage Central High School, Portage, MI
We have discovered while we use Iphones, Blackberrys, and other wireless devices every day, most students and teachers do not have an understanding of the science behind these technological marvels.
